Working on several small to medium sized projects helping various organizations create or migrate websites. Worked with a designer to establish requirements, create a focused design and sensible layout for each website. Primarily working in Wordpress and Drupal, doing custom PHP work where necessary. Web and eMedia Developer, Ithaca College May 2007 to Jul 2009

Responsible for development and support of internal staff web applications using PHP, MySQL and Java. Also developed and supported the front end of the Residential Life student housing selection in collaboration with SCT Banner programmers and DBAs.

Developer and Systems Administrator, ProZ.com Jan 2005 to Sep 2006

Produced PHP and MySQL applications for a small web business providing services to freelance language translators. Worked with a small team to maintain a large code base along with developing new tools and providing support for thousands of clients. Also shared responsibility for setup and 24/7 maintenance of approximately two dozen web and database servers.

Research Assistant, PCES Research Grant Aug 2001 to Dec 2003

Worked with a small group of developers to create technical demonstrations and statistical analysis for several experimental APIs to assist Dr. Lea's research, including Java 1.4 NIO beta and real-time Java. Focused on alternatives to multi-threaded server designs to maximize throughput and minimize server degradation.
